Whitney Bondshu, LCSW, Clinical Director

I am a Clinical Social Worker who holds a MSW from Portland State University and a Psychology degree from Southern Oregon University.  I was raised in Southern Oregon and I take pride in growing my family here in this beautiful piece of the world. As a therapist, I enjoy being a part of someone’s journey to healing with the use of acceptance, identifying boundaries, increasing self-esteem, and learning positive coping skills to reduce suffering by discovering a stronger version of yourself.

I have experience working with PTSD, trauma, grief, depression, anxiety, and many other challenges and stressors we face as humans in everyday life.  I offer an eclectic, personalized approach to therapy as I believe each person deserves a treatment plan that honors the individual’s needs and wants.

I am trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).  I also use modalities such as Psychodynamic approach, Attachment Theory, Inner-child work, and Narrative Therapy.

”Unhealed trauma is like dry sand. When stepped on, it is easy to sink down and lose sight of yourself.  Healed trauma is like wet sand.  When stepped on, the footprint still remains, but you no longer sink into it.”
