Connor Stewart

(Professional Counselor Registered Associate)

Hello, I am Connor Stewart, a Professional Counselor Registered Associate with an extensive background of serving my community. Born in Medford, I have traversed the continent, living in diverse cultures and geographical locations, allowing me to use a wide range of professional, cultural, and life experiences to connect with a broad spectrum of patients. I earned my Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Southern Oregon University, and my Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Adam’s State University in Colorado. During my master’s program, I collaborated with La Clinica as a school-based mental health provider, specializing in childhood development.

My commitment to community service extends beyond mental health, as I served for five years as a Firefighter/EMT with Jackson County Fire, earning recognition for my efforts during the 2020 Almeda Fire. Maintaining licensure as an Oregon State EMT, I still occasionally work on an ambulance and as a set medic on various film productions. My capstone project at Southern Oregon University focused on the effects of PTSD on first responders, a subject I remain passionately committed to. I specialize in PTSD, psychopathology, OCD, and anxiety, with additional training in crisis intervention, neurological and cognitive disorders, ketamine-assisted psychotherapy, and brainspotting, which allows me to bring a holistic view to counseling.

I approach the therapeutic process from a perspective of curiosity, and I encourage active exploration of both the patient and the family system. In sessions, I draw from a diverse range of modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, Gestalt Therapy, Jungian Therapy, Art Therapy, Brainspotting, and more. My belief is that the ultimate focus of therapy should be on the patient’s needs, working collaboratively to achieve lasting, observable, and positive results in their life.
