Trauma

If you’re feeling weighed down by trauma, anxiety, or relationship struggles, you don’t have to walk this path alone. I offer a safe, compassionate space where your story is heard, your pain is honored, and healing can begin. Together, we will uncover your strengths, develop effective coping tools, and move toward peace, resilience, and deeper connection. I utilize somatic experiencing blended with EMDR-informed principles as well as traditional EMDR, CPT, and PE to help clients process and release the effects of trauma through body-based awareness and integration.

I help individuals, couples, and families find hope and balance through trauma-informed and strength-based counseling. My approach is personalized and collaborative, meeting you where you are and helping you build the skills and insight needed for lasting change. For those seeking a faith-based approach, I also offer Christian counseling that integrates prayer and Scripture for Christ-centered healing and growth.

With an intimate understanding of both the veteran and first responder lifestyles, I am dedicated to providing a safe haven for those who serve our communities. My work is shaped by both professional training and over two decades of marriage and parenting, experiences that deepen my empathy and understanding of family dynamics.

I earned my Master of Science in Rehabilitation Counseling from San Diego State University and am currently pursuing my Doctor of Psychology (PsyD) at California Southern University, where my research focuses on marital satisfaction in military couples affected by combat-related PTSD. Before joining Inner Peace Counseling, I served as a Certified Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor, helping adults and youth overcome barriers related to disabilities, as well as providing individual, couples, youth, and group therapy in a private practice setting.

My goal as a therapist is to walk beside you with empathy, honesty, and hope—helping you move toward a more peaceful, connected, and fulfilling life.
