Hi! My name is Kaylee and I am a Marriage and Family Therapy Intern currently working towards my Masters degree at Oregon Tech. My journey to entering the mental health field began in my undergraduate studies. I was originally on a pre-med track but ultimately decided that my passion for supporting others was better aligned in a more person-centered environment. I graduated from Southern Oregon University with my bachelors in psychology.

Professionally, I have found myself working with children with additional needs and their families primarily. The majority of my experience has come from working as a therapy aid at a local pediatric clinic specializing in occupational and physical therapy. Through my experience I have formed connections with many local families and I hope to continue doing this in my future work with an emphasis in mental health. I have experience working with children with diverse needs and abilities of all ages and their families. I am passionate about promoting healthy family dynamics and communication for every family system.

My education and training has equipped me to bring a positive, supportive, and welcoming approach to all of life’s issues. I take a trauma-informed and systemic approach to best understand the needs of each client and family that I work with. I am passionate about finding the best approach that will work for each individual, couple, and family system as mental health and therapy should be individualized to client needs. I strongly believe that client-led collaboration is the key in therapeutic growth. I believe that every person has a story worth sharing and I look forward to hearing each and every one.

Outside of my work I find time to enjoy the little things through spending time with family and friends, reading, and getting lost in nature.
