Jamie Longwisch

Hello, I’m Jamie, a Registered Professional Counselor Associate dedicated to helping individuals navigate life’s challenges with compassion, authenticity, and understanding. I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Human Development from Azusa Pacific University and my Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Adams State University.
Prior to becoming a counselor, I worked extensively within law enforcement and correctional settings, where I gained valuable experience supporting individuals from diverse backgrounds and life circumstances. This work deepened my understanding of human resilience, trauma, and the complex factors that shape people’s experiences.
My approach to therapy is integrative, collaborative, and client-centered, recognizing that no single therapeutic model fits every individual. I draw from evidence-based modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), tailoring treatment to each client’s unique needs, strengths, and goals.
I am committed to providing trauma-informed care, helping clients navigate the complexities of trauma and its impact on thoughts, emotions, relationships, and daily functioning. I understand that healing is not a linear process, and I strive to create a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where clients can explore their experiences, build effective coping skills, and move toward meaningful change. My goal is to empower individuals to develop resilience, deepen self-understanding, and create lives that align with their values.
A Little About Me
I was born and raised in Southern California and have proudly called Oregon my home since 2022. Outside of the counseling office, I enjoy hiking and spending time outdoors, where I find peace and connection in nature. I also love attending concerts, traveling, and exploring new places and cultures. These experiences keep me grounded, curious, and appreciative of the many different paths people take through life.
I am deeply passionate about the counseling profession and feel honored to do this work. I believe that genuine human connection is at the heart of healing, and I strive to bring authenticity, compassion, and curiosity into every session. My goal is to create a space where clients feel seen, heard, and supported as they navigate challenges, discover their strengths, and work toward meaningful growth. Being part of a client’s journey is a privilege that I do not take lightly, and I am committed to showing up fully for those I serve.
