Jamie Longwisch

Hello, I am Jamie, and I am a dedicated mental health professional with deep-seated empathy and a unique ability to comprehend complex situations. I obtained my bachelor’s degree in human development from Azusa Pacific University. I am currently in graduate school at Adam’s State University, obtaining a master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health and Counseling to become a Licensed Professional Counselor. With extensive experience working in the Law Enforcement field within correctional facilities, I have developed a profound understanding of the diverse populations that inhabit these environments.
I am developing skills in a variety of therapeutic approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). However, my foremost priority is always the individual.
By focusing on processing experiences and building essential skills, I want to ensure clients receive tailored support that meets their specific needs. Through a compassionate and client-centered approach, I strive to empower individuals on their paths to healing and personal growth, demonstrating a commitment to fostering resilience and understanding in every interaction.
About me:
I was born and raised in Southern California and made beautiful Oregon my home four years ago. In my free time, I enjoy hiking and outdoor activities for the peace and connection with nature they offer. I also love attending concerts for the energy of live music and traveling to explore new cultures and landscapes. These activities enrich my life and satisfy my adventurous spirit.
