I am a Marriage and Family Therapist with an MS in Marriage & Family Therapy from Oregon Tech. I also hold Certificates in Medical Family Therapy and have met the educational requirements for CADC III. My education and training include extensive expertise in human development, clinical theories, diagnosis, assessment, treatment, ethics, cultural humility, family systems theory, and substance use.

In addition, I have completed training with the STAR Behavioral Health Providers (SBHP) program, which focuses on addressing the behavioral health needs of service members, veterans, and their families. The SBHP program provides specialized education in military-specific culture and evidence-based treatments tailored to the unique challenges faced by the military population. This training complements my personal experience and commitment to supporting the veteran community and their loved ones.

My therapeutic approach is grounded in the belief that every individual possesses the inherent potential to achieve their optimal health and well-being. I integrate a diverse range of evidence-based therapeutic methods, including cognitive restructuring, psychoeducation, behavioral therapy, mindfulness, family systems therapy, Bowen therapy, structural therapy, and more. Above all, I take a collaborative, person-centered approach, working closely with clients to understand their unique perspectives, needs, and goals. I strive to empower individuals, couples, and families to take an active role in their healing process and to create meaningful, lasting change in their lives.

My military service profoundly shapes my approach to therapy. Serving in the military taught me the importance of adaptability, resilience, and working under pressure, qualities I bring into my clinical practice. It also gave me firsthand insight into the unique challenges faced by service members, including issues related to stress, deployment, reintegration, and family dynamics. This understanding allows me to empathize deeply with clients navigating these experiences and to create a safe, supportive space for healing and growth.

The discipline and teamwork I learned in the military inform my ability to connect with clients from diverse backgrounds and perspectives. My service also instilled a strong commitment to service, which drives my dedication to helping individuals, couples, and families overcome obstacles and thrive. By combining my professional training with the values and experiences gained through my military career, I am uniquely equipped to provide compassionate, culturally attuned care to the broader community and the veteran population. I have experience working with couples, families, individuals, and children, and I am passionate about helping clients unlock their potential and achieve meaningful, fulfilling lives.
