Daniel Jansen

Daniel is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with more than two decades of experience in the mental and behavioral health field. For over 12 years, he has worked as a Mental Health Therapist in school based health centers, supporting students and families in developing healthier relationships, strengthening emotional resilience, and improving overall well being. Throughout his career in Northern California and Southern Oregon, Daniel has helped individuals and families navigate life’s challenges while fostering meaningful growth and connection.
Daniel approaches therapy with curiosity, compassion, and respect for the unique path each individual walks. He recognizes that every person’s story, strengths, and struggles are their own, and he works collaboratively with clients to better understand their experiences while identifying opportunities for growth. His work often involves helping clients examine beliefs and patterns that may be limiting their well being, while encouraging new behaviors and healthier ways of thinking that support a more fulfilling direction in life.
Central to Daniel’s philosophy is the belief that meaningful change happens when clients are actively engaged in the process. He encourages individuals to invest in their goals, celebrate incremental progress, and define what success looks like for themselves. His therapeutic style is strength based and grounded in unconditional positive regard, honoring the inherent value of every person he works with. Daniel views the counseling relationship as deeply relational and approaches each session with intention, respect, and care.
Daniel works collaboratively with clients to explore thoughts, emotions, and past experiences while building practical skills that support emotional regulation, interpersonal growth, and cognitive flexibility. His clinical approach integrates evidence based modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing, Solution Focused Therapy, and Interpersonal Neurobiology (IPNB). Upon request, Daniel also offers Christian counseling for clients who wish to incorporate their faith into the therapeutic process.
Daniel earned his Master of Social Work in 2015 and became a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in 2022. He brings over 23 years of combined experience in mental and behavioral health services, providing compassionate, strengths focused care to individuals and families throughout the region
