Hi, I’m Amanda, a Clinical Social Work Associate (CSWA), U.S. Navy veteran, and Doctor of Social Work candidate. I’m a therapist who is passionate about helping people feel seen, supported, and empowered, especially during times when life feels overwhelming, uncertain, or heavy.

I earned my Bachelor’s degree in English from Southern Oregon University and my Master of Social Work from The Catholic University of America, and I am currently completing my DSW at Capella University. My background in writing and social work shapes how I show up in therapy. I value clear communication, thoughtful questions, and really understanding people’s stories, not just their symptoms.

Originally from the San Francisco Bay Area, I bring a mix of life experience, grounded compassion, and a calm presence into the therapy room. My time in the U.S. Navy taught me a great deal about resilience, responsibility, and what it is like to struggle in environments where asking for help is not always encouraged. That experience strongly informs how I approach mental health work, with respect, humility, and zero judgment.

I am EMDR certified and use a trauma-informed approach to support teens and adults navigating anxiety, trauma, grief, life transitions, identity concerns, and challenges with self-worth. I also draw from CBT, DBT, ACT, mindfulness, and strengths-based approaches to meet clients where they are. My style is warm, honest, collaborative, and rooted in trust, with room for reflection, growth, and even a little humor when it helps.

I believe healing happens in relationship. My goal is to create a safe and inclusive space where clients feel comfortable being themselves and supported as they make meaningful, sustainable changes in their lives.
